IAMC 2025: Summary of this year’s annual meeting
The 18th IAMC Annual Meeting was held from November 11–13, 2025, in Hotel Atlantico Búzios, located in the city of Armação dos Búzios, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, bringing together 355 participants from around the world, both in-person and online.
With representatives from 41 countries, the conference highlighted the global reach and diversity of the IAMC community. A notable addition this year was the pre-meeting Online Poster Festival, held online on October 28–29. This dynamic event featured over 41 posters and attracted more than 80 participants, setting an engaging tone for the main meeting.

Programme Highlights:
- Oral Sessions: The program included 5 plenary sessions, 28 parallel sessions as well as the five scientific working group discussions.
- Oral Presentations:A total of 163 oral presentations were delivered.
- Poster Presentations: In total, 85 posters were presented either in-person or online.

The 18th IAMC Annual Meeting proudly recognized individuals whose exceptional work has advanced the field of integrated assessment modeling. This year’s honors included:
- Award for Extraordinary Contributions to the field of IAM: Saritha Sudharmma Vishwanathan
- Award for Early Career Researcher: Mark Dekker
