2024 Carnegie Mellon Doctoral Student Participatory Workshop on Climate & Energy Decision Making
The Carnegie Mellon University Center For Climate and Energy Decision Making will hold its third Annual Doctoral Student Participatory Workshop on Climate & Energy Decision Making at the Carnegie Mellon campus in Pittsburgh, PA on May 15-16, 2024.
Developing effective solutions to problems in climate and energy decision making often requires the convergence of deep natural science and engineering analysis with the tools and insights of modern behavioral social science, and legal and regulatory analysis. This workshop is open to PhD students and Postdoctoral Fellows (as well as their faculty) who are working at such an interface.
The workshop will allow selected participants to present their work, participate in small-group workshops on a variety of topics, meet other young investigators, and exchange ideas on these complex problems. Some limited resources to cover travel expenses are available, but in previous years applications have exceeded our ability to cover expenses. Candidates should not delay their applications.
Applications are due by March 15, 2024, and participants who are selected will be notified by April 1, 2024.
