Research Fellow in Electricity Markets and Investment at London’s Global University, UK
London’s Global University’s BEAMS Department (UCL B04) is looking for a full-time hybrid (20% – 80% on site) research Fellow in Electricity Markets and Investment starting April 1, 2024.
The successful candidate will work with Professor Michael Grubb to conduct research on approaches to market design for net zero electricity systems and related approaches to securing low carbon investment, initially in the UK but potentially internationally. The post-holder would also contribute to teaching a Masters module on Electricity Systems and Markets, including marking of associated assessments, with 10% time also providing broader research assistance to Professor Grubb’s work on the economics of low carbon transition. This post is available from 1 April 2024 and is funded for 20 months in the first instance, further funding to support the post is expected to be made available.
Knowledge and experience surrounding commercial electricity contract design and trading, or policy-making and advisory processes (e.g. calls for evidence) in the UK and Europe, would be highly desirable.
