The Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEP) at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) invites applications for professors at all levels and postdoctoral researcher in Economics, Public Policy, Management Science, Operations Research, Statistics, and Automatic Control relevant to the fields of Energy, Climate Change and Environment.
CEEP is a research center affiliated with the School of Management at Beijing Institute of Technology. The center focuses on energy and climate policy analysis, energy-economy-environment interactions, and the use of quantitative modeling, particularly integrated assessment models (IAM) to inform long-term transition and strategies.
As one of the earliest IAMC member institutions in mainland China, CEEP has independently developed its own integrated assessment model, China’s Climate Change Integrated Assessment Model (C3IAM). Related research findings have been published in top-tier journals such as Nature Climate Change and Nature Food. Its development is supported by a Major Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the model was also included in the IPCC AR6 scenario database.
CEEP is the “Innovative Research Group” financed by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Many policy recommendations from CEEP were adopted by governments. There are now over 150 PhD candidates in the fields of energy and climate economics in CEEP. BIT has been one of the key universities in China and the first batch of universities that has entered the national “211 Project”, “985 Project” and the “Top A World-Class University”. From 2016 to 2025, BIT ranked first nationwide in per capita research funding.
