IAMC Advisory Council: Appointment of new members

The IAMC Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) Member institutions decided to increase the number of Advisory Council members. According to the SSC votes, the following people were invited and accepted to join the Advisory Council starting March 2024:

  • Kristie Ebi, Center for Health and the Global Environment, University of Washington
  • Ottmar Edenhofer, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC), and Technische Universität Berlin
  • Veronika Eyring, German Aerospace Center (DLR) Institute of Atmospheric Physics
    Professor, and University of Bremen
  • Jim McFarland, US EPA (replacing Allen Fawcett, now Director of the PNNL Joint Global Change Research Institute)
  • Jan Sigurd Fuglestvedt, CICERO and IPCC Working Group III
  • Youba Sokona, UCL.
