IAMC Webinar: New Scientific Working Group on Responsible AI for IAM
July 28 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
AI is increasingly used across the IAM research workflow, from data and code preparation to model emulation, scenario analysis, validation, and manuscript drafting. These applications create new opportunities for IAM research, but also raise questions concerning transparency, credibility, bias, reproducibility, and appropriate human oversight.
This webinar will introduce the new IAMC Scientific Working Group on Responsible AI for IAM Research (AI4IAM). The presenters will outline the group’s objectives and planned activities, including the development of responsible AI guidance, engagement with the broader AI research community, community outreach, and the review and benchmarking of emerging AI applications in IAM research.
The webinar will also invite feedback on the group’s priorities and introduce an upcoming expression-of-interest call for specific working tasks. Participation from all IAMC members is highly encouraged.
