EU survey on Loss & Damage and Adaptation strategies
The European Commission – Climate Action has contracted ICF to undertake the “Climate Change Modelling Information” project (CCMI), which aims to map and enhance climate change modelling capacities in the European Union and abroad. The objective is to collect and share recent developments in the area of climate change modelling through the development of quarterly reports to inform EU policy makers and the broader climate change modelling community.
The second CCMI survey for 2023 is now open. The focus in this edition is on Loss and Damage, and Adaptation strategies. This survey aims to collect information about modelling developments linked to:
- The implementation of (I)NDCs
- Mid-century strategies
- Loss & Damage and Adaptation strategies (including modelling of impacts of extreme weather events, assessment of socio-economic, financial, and health impacts, assessment of co-benefits related to mitigation strategies e.g. adaptation, resilience, air quality, etc.)
