openENTRANCE project and the EFECT consortium have published a survey to identify gaps and research needs in energy modeling and energy sector regulation.
Electricity sector models should provide insights for corporate or political decision makers. In this survey, we focus on the nexus between political decision makers and modeling, in particular the modeling of the electricity sector.
Numerical electricity sector models take assumptions on the market design that might not reflect reality. Similarly, energy policy and regulation might not have picked up relevant insights from modeling and research. We would like to learn from you where you see a mismatch between academic modeling and policy, and which opportunities for improvement you see in the modeling and the policy.
The survey is a mixture of multiple choice answers and fields with space for your own comments. Please make use of the comment fields extensively.
