Call for Contributions: Mapping Seeds of Transformative Change for a Post-Growth future
We are reaching out to invite you to contribute to an international effort led by the Post-Growth Modelling Community (PGMC) to map “seeds of transformative change”. Seeds are real-world initiatives that point toward just, post-growth, and sufficient futures.
This effort aims to highlight and connect inspiring and transformative initiatives already shaping new ways of living, organizing, and provisioning. These “seeds” might be grassroots projects, community practices, public policies, research initiatives, or programs that challenge dominant growth-centric paradigms, whether successful or struggling, local or systemic.
Take the survey (5-10 minutes): Link
Deadline: September 15, 2025
Your input will directly inform a global mapping of transformative initiatives across regions and sectors. The results will support a broader research initiative aimed at developing a global post-growth scenario narrative for international bodies such as the IPCC and IPBES. This work will help reshape scenario frameworks, like the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs), with more grounded, just, and ecological alternatives.
Whether you are a researcher, practitioner, policymaker, activist, or simply know of an initiative that deserves attention, we warmly welcome your contribution. You can submit up to five seeds, and with your permission, they may be featured in reports, visualizations, or scenario-building workshops.
