Workshop on SDG modelling – “The Future of the SDGs.”
The workshop on SDG modelling, titled “The Future of the SDGs“, will take place on July 3-5 in Leiden, the Netherlands. The workshop will bring together researchers and modelling teams to discuss the achievement of the SDG agenda and explore the possible implications for the SDGs beyond 2030. This workshop builds upon earlier community initiatives such as “The World in 2050” and the SHAPE project.
The workshop will include the first model comparison exercise regarding models and scenarios exploring the achievement of the SDG agenda. Additionally, there will be a discussion on what is needed to improve SDG modelling and on how to build a community similar to that of climate mitigation research. Modelling teams submitting scenarios before the workshop to facilitate the discussion is encouraged.
Interested researchers and modelling teams are invited to register for the workshop. The deadline for registration is April, 28.
The event is sponsored by the Lorentz Centre and the PICASSO project.
