News: Wolfgang Lutz and Keywan Riahi appointed as ISC Fellows
The International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis recently announced that its Interim Deputy Director General for Science, Wolfgang Lutz, and IIASA Energy, Climate, and Environment Program Director, Keywan Riahi, member of the IAMC Scientific Steering Committeem have been selected as Fellows of the International Science Council (ISC).
The Fellowship is the highest honor that can be conferred on an individual by the ISC and it is granted to recognize outstanding contributions to promoting science as a global public good., and recognizes Lutz and Riahi as eminent figures and thought leaders whose impactful contributions reverberates within science and society.
Both Fellows stressed the importance of individual and collective action in addressing “critical challenges” and catalyzing “positive change” in our time.
