Call for papers: Journal of Integrative Environmental Sciences’ Special Issue
Journal of Integrative Environmental Sciences is actively seeking submissions which contribute to the global policy priorities represented by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), for a Special Issue “Integrative approaches to the environmental and socio-economic SDGs” to be published in 2022.
This special issue looks at the tools and approaches for integration and alignment of the SDGs, the key sectors and environmental challenges to address, and governance and policy environments necessary to facilitate reaching the SDGs. In line with JIES’s mission for the furthering of integrative and interdisciplinary approaches in the field of environmental sciences, this special issue welcomes creative contributions that address the SDGs as a whole and support the response to environmental challenges at the local, national and international scale.
This issue is part of a cross-disciplinary collection in support of the European Commission’s Horizon Missions, with contributions from across the Life, Earth and Environmental Sciences. These missions collectively represent important research and policy priorities facing our global society. The collection will be published to be timed with Earth Day 2022 (April 22nd, 2022) as part of a collaborative effort to support real-world research that addresses the SDGs and global policy priorities.
