From 5 February until 30 April, organizations, cities, industries, universities, governments, and others taking bold leadership on climate change can nominate their work for a UN Global Climate Action award by submitting application here. The 2020 award will recognize climate action that is already achieving real results in three categories:

Momentum for Change is an initiative spearheaded by the UN Climate Change secretariat to shine a light on the enormous groundswell of activities underway across the globe that are moving the world toward a highly resilient, low-carbon future. Momentum for Change recognizes innovative and transformative solutions that address both climate change and wider economic, social and environmental challenges.
We call these solutions Lighthouse Activities. They’re some of the most practical, scalable and replicable examples of what people, businesses, governments and industries are doing to tackle climate change.
● The UN Global Climate Action Awards is searching for organizations, cities, industries, universities, governments, and others that are taking bold leadership on climate change.
● The UN Global Climate Action Awards are run by the Momentum for Change initiative, which sits within the UN Climate Change secretariat (UNFCCC).
● From 5 February until 30 April 2020, Initiatives or projects working to combat climate change can nominate their work for a UN Global Climate Action Award.
● Winning activities will be recognized under one of three categories: Women for Results, Financing for Climate Friendly Investment, and Climate Neutral Now.
