Job opening – Postdoctoral researcher position for Energy Citizens for Inclusive Decarbonization Project (Victoria University, Canada)
The renewable energy transitions lab at University of Victoria is seeking applications for a post-doctoral researcher to work on a New Frontiers in Research funded project “Energy Citizens for Inclusive Decarbonisation (ENCLUDE)” connected to the Horizon 2020 LC-SC3-CC-1-2018-2019-2020 Call on “Building a Low-Carbon, Climate Resilient Future: Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy”. Funding will also be provided by the Transition Accelerator and possibly by MITACS (MITACS funding to be confirmed). The position will ideally start in January 2022, although it may start later.
The ideal candidate will have interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary academic and research experience related to energy democracy, energy justice, energy geography or sustainability transitions. Applicants must have a relevant PhD degree (e.g., geography, environmental studies, innovation studies) completed no later than January 2022. The successful applicant will be working on an interdisciplinary team of researchers and students on transdisciplinary research. The position will be supervised by Dr. Christina Hoicka (UVic Geography and Civil Engineering)
