Postdoctoral Research positions at the University of Exeter, UK
The University of Exeter wishes to recruit two Postdoctoral Research Associates to support the work of Dr Femke Nijsse and Dr Jean-Francois Mercure on projects in the domain of transition economics, including with: the Economics of Energy Innovation and System Transition project (www.eeist.co.uk), DECIPHER (led by E3Modelling) and the Leverhulme Centre on Climate Change Mitigation (LC3M). The EEIST project (www.eeist.co.uk) is led by the University of Exeter and aims to improve energy innovation and economy models used by governments for decision-making in different countries. The E3ME-FTT model will be developed and improved to answer new policy questions around energy, climate change and sustainability, in co-production with stakeholders.
The post holder will learn and develop skills to improve and expand the E3ME-FTT model according to needs in the above projects. The person will integrate a community of over 30 modellers working with the model based in a number of institutions including Exeter, Cambridge Econometrics and the World Bank. The person may also contribute to other ongoing projects, help with fundraising and actively contribute to developing the skills of other researchers through the community. Expanding the work to address modelling needs in the financial services will also be considered.
Application deadline is 17 March 2024.
