Post-Doctoral position on Just Transition and the inequalities-environment nexus at Paris School of Economics, France
Paris School of Economics (PSE) is offering 1 Post-Doctoral position starting Feb. 1, 2023 (flexible), which will be mainly completed in the premises of the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
This position can be for one or preferably two years and comes with no teaching nor administrative duties so that the Post-Doctoral fellow can devote all of their time to their research. This fellowship is part of the ANR research project EXCOMFAIR led by Prof. Marc Fleurbaey, which involves several academic institutions as well as the OECD.
The project involves empirical research based on a structural model of the optimal carbon price in presence of a socio-economic gradient of environmental degradation (Dennig et al., 2015, PNAS). This part of the project will inform policy work on the Just Transition and the inequalities-environment nexus. A second part of the project will aim at estimating the distributional impacts of policies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, based on the matching of household budget surveys and environmental input-output tables. Both arms of the project will be pursued in close collaboration with the OECD Centre on Well-being, Inclusion, Sustainability and Equal Opportunities (WISE).
Application deadline: 15 November 2022
