Full-time position: Carbon dioxide removal in a net-zero world at NREL

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is seeking a full-time Master’s or PhD-level hire to investigate the role and tradeoffs of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies in net-zero greenhouse gas emission strategies. The position will support a multi-year international collaboration among leading integrated assessment and energy system modeling teams and help expand NREL’s energy systems modeling suite in CDR technologies. Besides informing critical global efforts for long-term planning, this position will also support regional-level net-zero decision making, working with local governments, island communities, and/or cities.
