IAMC welcomes Korea Environment Institute as new member
Starting November 2022, the Integrated Assessment Modeling Consortium welcomes the Korea Environment Institute among its members.
Korea Environment Institute (KEI) is the sole public institution responsible for environmental policy research and the only institution specializing in environmental impact assessment review in Korea. The Climate and Air Quality Research Group has developed and been maintaining various simulation models including global/domestic computable general equilibrium (CGE) models, power sector optimization models (both long-term capacity expansion models based on linear programming and short-term unit commitment models based on mixed integer programming), discreate choice models for transportation sector, and integrated top-down/bottom-up models linking CGE with various sectoral models. KEI has supported the mitigation policy designs of various government departments, including NDC and Net Zero scenario developments.
