IAMC appoints three new Members to its Advisory Council
The IAMC Consortium has recently nominated three new experts who will be part of its Advisory Council:
Stéphane Hallegatte is senior economist with the World Bank. His work includes macroeconomic dynamics and green growth strategies, urban economics and environmental policies, climate change vulnerability and adaptation, and disaster risk management. He is author of more than 100 journal articles, is lead author of the IPCC and co-led the World Bank report “Inclusive Green Growth.”
Mikiko Kainuma is a senior research advisor and a secretary general of International Research Network for Low Carbon Societies (LCS-RNet) at Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES). Since 1990, she has been engaging in the development of Asia-Pacific Integrated Model (AIM), which assesses policy options for stabilizing the global climate, particularly in the Asian-Pacific region. She is a Lead Author of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Fourth and Fifth Assessment Report, and Special Report on 1.5°C.
Miles Perry is Policy Officer at European Commission, Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA), where he is responsible of climate science office. He is engaged with the economic analysis related to global decarbonisation pathways, including coordinating participation in the governmental review and approval of IPCC reports and at international climate talks (UNFCCC) related to mitigation and transparency.
The Advisory Board new members will be in charge for three years starting from January 2022.
